Ashlee & Jhai - Old Treasury Building
“OH MY GOD!!! Where do I start. Firstly, thank you so much for being such an incredible part of our day! Jhai and I had such an awesome time hanging out with you! I couldn’t keep the smile off my face for days, which was actually really painful in the end haha! You honestly made our day and we loved every minute of it.
Secondly, THE PHOTOS!! THE PHOTOS ARE AMAZING!!! I am obsessed with them all! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Our family and friends are also blown away with the incredible images and moments you were able to capture…I have even had random colleagues at work ask if they could have some because of how beautiful they are! You went above and beyond my expectations and I can not thank you enough for everything.
I’ll be reviewing you everywhere I can! Your uber rating might not be great, but at least you’re a 5/5 in all your client's hearts!
I hope you have a lovely rest of your week!
Lots of love, Ashlee and Jhai”
Ashlee & Jhai, a totally rad young couple in love, eloped at the Old Treasury Building on a Thursday. It was on one of those classic Melbourne spring days, where it's bucketing down rain one minute and then super sunny the next.
Jhai and Ashlee first met at their first jobs at McDonalds when they were 14, and have been involved in each others lives ever since. After a couple of years apart, they got back in touch and were immediately inseparable again. Jhai uprooted his life to move to Melbourne to start a life their together. Not long after he proposed. Jhai tells me it was his way of making Ashlee hang around and stop breaking up with him on and off over the last 10 years. I asked Ashlee why she had kept leaving Jhai, and she replied with 'Well, I was an idiot.' Oh, and I explained that we'd be walking around a bit, so the bride wore pink nikes. What a bloody legend.
After a pretty emotional ceremony (Jhai cried the whole way through it), we walked & ubered around beautiful Melbourne town, finding shade and pockets of gorgeous afternoon light, stopping for cocktails before they headed off for their family dinner that evening. As we parted ways, we said our goodbyes and they put me an uber, I was a little sad to leave them.
I have no words for these two true love birds. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, I get to photograph the most beautiful couples in the world.
Thank you Ashlee & Jhai for choosing me to capture your very special love, I had so much bloody fun with you both xx
